finally the sun has found paris. it seems to be chasing away the rain and snow. i even went on a bike ride without a jacket. what a treat!
everybody seems to be enjoying the sunshine...

st- sulpice. this church is at the end of my street. in fact it's bells wake me up everyday. i won't say what time...
my favorite neighborhood (besides my neighborhood of course) is the marais. so many beautiful shops and art galleries. i rode my bike (well technically everyones bike - the velib) up and down many of its streets the other day in an attempt to familiarize myself a bit more with the area. it's quite large!
this neighborhood (the marais) was predominantly jewish before the nazi occupation.
holocaust museum. not an easy place to visit.
and where Place des Vosges was built in 1605 under Henry IV.
ille de la cite.
where the earliest settlements of paris were. the town was called Lutetia and was conquered by the romans over 2000 years ago.

it's where notre dame is...
i love these little used book stands along the siene.
rue st-andres des arts.
i took these shots while riding my bike. now that it's not below freezing i ride a bike everywhere. it's such a nice way to get around the city.

the best tea. i highly recommend the rose with mint.
Saint Germain des Pres.
biking on the Champs-Elysees. i don't recommend it - a bit too crowded and lots of autos. but it was fun!
